General Electric

Navaco developed a Critical Path Analysis (CPA) program for the locomotive division of General Electric in Erie, PA. The program uses the component assembly, dependency and lead time information output from a mainframe computer to generate a graphical view of the Critical path. Prior to CPA the computer output its data to green bar paper. A locomotive has over 22,000 parts and CPA provides GE with critical path information while reducing paper use.
